On Some Problems for Deformations and Oscillations of Non-homogeneous Piezoelectric Elastic Beam

In the present work several problems on deformation and oscillation of non-homogeneous piezoelectric elastic beam is studied. The deformation is limited to be only along one axis and it is assumed that all functions depend on time t and/or one spatial variable. Deformations and oscillations of such material was studied in the case when the constitutive coefficients were constants and when they were power functions of one spatial variable. With given charge density and volume force along axis, initial-boundary value problems were studied. Solutions for displacement vector as well as electric and magnetic potentials that arise during the deformation were written in analytic form (constant-coefficient case) or as an infinite series (coefficients given power functions of spatial variable) and absolute uniform convergence of these series were studied. The solutions for the case when constitutive coefficient were constants were plotted for specific material (mixture of CoFe2O4 and BaTiO3) using MATLAB.
