Superconductor Levitation

Superconductor materials are very notable because of their unique properties. A big part of Solid State Physics evolution is due to its discovery. One of SC (superconductor) property is its levitation in the magnetic field, which therefore means contactless motion. Our thesis's main aim is to set up a structure that will demonstrate previously spoken phenomena, as well as study relevant parameters. Following this goal, we need a magnetic track, which we provided with neodymium N40 magnets with NSN arrangement and YBCO high-temperature superconductor. Levitation duration is based on wrapping’s heat capacity and conductivity. We made a vessel with a 3D printer which provided liquid nitrogen cooling, therefore, increased levitation time. Finally, we made a stable model experiment for studying superconducting materials
