Landscape planning and monitoring has been a topical issue for the last decade. Arranging and planning space and environment in such a way as to we'll use resources rationally is becoming more and more important day by day. We know that resources are depleted and it is time to use new, renewable energy sources, especially against the background of global climate change, for that we think it is important to monitor and assess the level of anthropogenic change in the environment. The environment is constantly changing under the influence of various factors and in our opinion, the greatest impact, is experienced during anthropogenic impact. For example, humans have the greatest impact on the environment when using land for agricultural (land use) purposes. No similar studies have been conducted for the territory of Georgia, for example, we have chosen “Gurjaani Municipality” to see, level of the land use changes. At the research stage, according to the NDVI index, was created and developed a certain methodology. We were deciphering the maps, which was developed by Landsat for the 2019–1995 interval. As a result of the research, we can say that there is no permanently abandoned land in the territory of Gurjaani Municipality in 2019-1995. We hope that the research will give a kind of guide, that we will use for study land use and land use change for the Georgian region.
