Evaluation of budget nitrogen dioxide sensor for atmospheric measurements

The present work studies the suitability of a cheap nitrogen dioxide sensor for analysis and monitoring of nitrogen dioxide. For the study we used the nitrogen dioxide sensor (produced by Alphasense) with a semiconductor surface that recorded data continuously. Offline air sampling in canisters and later comparison with online measurement was also performed. The air flow restrictors was used for the canisters to increase sampling time. In our case we used a piece of gas chromatography capillary column. Studies have been conducted in the laboratory because the air pollution inside the laboratory is less variable, than the results were compared to recorded by the sensor meanwhile. In the experimen ECO Physics NOx Analyzer CLD 780 TR was used. The analysis method used to measure nitrogen dioxide ( NO2) with O3 Chemiluminescence. The work was performed on the basis of SMART | AtmoSim_LAB.
