Today's reality is slowly moving to the digital world which means placing any activity according to the principles of the digital world. The need for this arises from the conditions that the digital world offers consumers, ranging from a reduction in labor resources to an improvement in communication resources. Due to these circumstances, the world of sports has similar requirements in order to meet the labor resources and at the same time the quality that is important for their activities. The paper discusses the main issues in the development of information systems related to the study of the business environment, the creation of a business model and its technological implementation. The process of creating / implementing an information system is discussed on the example of sports, in particular judo. An algorithm for managing activities important for this field and its implementation in the information system is proposed.
