To assess the impact of radiation on humans, it is necessary to pay attention to the type of radiation that has been irradiated. Ionizing radiation has both direct and indirect effects on the body, so it is necessary to study both actions together. The present paper discusses the information available about ionizing radiation and its defense capabilities.
