The master's thesis deals with the obtaining and research of new composite materials based on renewable plant raw materials - leaves and binder ethyl silicate. The obtained composite materials are characterized by much better physical-mechanical properties (water absorption, thermal resistance, durability, etc.) than the wood-based composite – particle board, obtained on the basis of phenol-formaldehyde resins. The important thing is that we use binders that are safe for human health. Composite materials are obtained to be compared under different conditions and optimal conditions for making composites are established. Composite materials based on leaves and ethyl silicate can be used in the future for various purposes: in construction as partitions, for plastering walls and ceilings, for making various furniture and so on. It should also be noted the advantage that the adoption of these composite materials is associated with simple technological processes.
